About the fort
Not much information is available about this fort. It was built during the Satavahan period.

We left Pune around 5 am. We went via Chandni Chauk. We had our breakfast at PJ Food Court, near the Malhar Machi Y junction. The road condition was excellent throughout our journey. I was surprised to see the road in Tamhini Ghat. It was very smooth.

We reached the base village Vaduste around 8am. There is no sign board or parking place at the starting point of this fort. As you travel through the villege, there is one Pass (खिंड) which is a starting point. You can look a water tank and a transformer in that Pass placed exactly infront of the route that takes you to the fort. There is not much open space near the tank. At the max two cars can be parked there. You need to find a place in the village if the vehicle is big.

We began climbing the fort around 9 am. The climb is easy. There are couple of narrow patches where you need to take care while walking. On the way you get the rock section created due to the flow of waterfall. Take a right and climb upwards from there.

The entire trekking time was one hour. Thankfully the weather was very supportive. Although it did not rain there was no sun either. The cloudy weather made the entire trek exciting.

Around 10.15 am we reached the top of the fort. You can spot a flag mounted on the right side as you reach the top. There is not much to see or explore on the fort but the view of the surroundings from the top is just mind blowing.

We went walking towards the left. There is a temple of lord shiva. Some remains of old stone structure on the fort.

We spent around an hour on the fort and began our return journey. In 40-45 minutes we reached the base of the fort.

On our way back, we took a halt to enjoy the breathtaking view of Kundalika Valley.
We had a quick break at Dilkhush Wadapav at Pirangut and we returned home by 2 PM.
